Participants encountered a mix of familiar and charismatic species, from the watchful Spotted Owlet tucked into the trees to the striking White-throated Kingfisher and the ever-adaptable Common Myna and Rock Pigeon. Raptors like Black Kite circled overhead, while Eastern Cattle Egret and White-browed Wagtail hinted at nearby water-linked habitats.

The greenery supported an active community of smaller birds, with Black Drongo, Asian Green Bee-eater, and Barn Swallow catching insects in flight. Calls of Asian Koel and Oriental Magpie-Robin added to the soundscape, while Greater Coucal and Yellow-billed Babbler moved through dense vegetation. Sunbirds—both Purple and Purple-rumped—along with Pale-billed Flowerpecker brought flashes of color, complemented by species like Small Minivet, Red-whiskered Bulbul, and Spot-breasted Fantail. The checklist was rounded off by Indian Peafowl, Spotted Dove, and a Pied Bushchat, making the walk a well-rounded introduction to urban bird diversity and observation.
